2011 One Act Play AA One Act Play State Championship

2011 Softball Team AA Softball State Championship!   The state championship marks a special place in softball history. We are the first school in GHSA softball history to win 5 state championships.

Congratulations 2011 State Literary Team Congratulations to our Literary team which represented Buford High School and won the State Championship at the GHSA AA State Literary Meet.  This is the fifth state championship in the past seven years for our Literary team and the third consecutive state title!

Buford High School received awards in the following categories:
AP CHALLENGE SCHOOLS: Schools with fewer than 900 students with students testing in the four core areas of English, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science (41 schools)

AP STEM SCHOOLS: Schools with students testing in at least two AP math courses and two AP science courses (AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, AP Physics B, AP Physics C, AP Computer Science) (147 Schools)

AP STEM ACHIEVEMENT SCHOOLS: Schools with students testing in at least two AP math courses and two AP science courses and at least 40% of the exam scores on AP math and AP science exams earning scores of 3 or higher. (80 Schools)

2010 Newsweek's Best Schools --Congratulations to Buford High School for making Newsweek’s America’s Best High Schools list. Newsweek picks the best high schools in the country based on how hard school staffs work to challenge students with advanced placement college-level courses and tests. Just over 1600 schools were chosen and only six percent of all the public schools in the US, including Buford made the list for the first time in Buford High School’s history.
