Week Seven
Monday, May 4
Objective: Students will begin preparing for final assignments and the AP Lit Exam.
Assignment: Visit Google Classroom for the following activities: an overview of the AP Exam formats; a link to the Final "Presentation" assignment, a link to the Replacement Grade assignment, and a link to the Benchmark #2 assignment (for anyone who wants/needs to complete it).
Assessment: The following assignments are all due by 3:00pm on Friday, May 8 - Final "Presentation" and Replacement Grade Assignment.
 
Tuesday, May 5
Today is a Social Studies, Science, Fine Arts, and CTE day. Enjoy completing assignments for those classes!
 
Wednesday, May 6
Objective: Students will continue preparing for final assignments and the AP Lit Exam.

Assignment: Visit Google Classroom and review the instructions for the Final "Presentation."
Assessment: The Final "Presentation" is due by 3:00pm on Friday, May 8.

Wednesday, April 29
Objective: Students will evaluate their readiness for writing an effective prose analysis on the modified AP Exam.
Assignment: Visit Google Classroom for assignment details related to the AP Lit videos on YouTube.
Assessment: Students will submit a short response after viewing the AP Lit videos.

Objective: Students will prepare for the upcoming Benchmark and for the modified AP Exam.
Assignment: Students will review the plan for Benchmarks and the details for the modified AP Exam. Both assessments will focus on Q2 - Prose Analysis. 
Assessment: Students should complete the form in Google Classroom OR respond to the email.
 
Tuesday, April 14
Objective: Students will prepare for the upcoming Benchmark and for the modified AP Exam.
Assignment: Students will work on making claims and writing thesis statements for prose analysis.
Assessment: Complete the assignment in MyAP Classroom.
 
Wednesday, April 15
Objective: Students will prepare for the upcoming Benchmark and for the modified AP Exam.
Assignment: Students will work on effective evidence and commentary for prose analysis.
Assessment: Complete the assignment in MyAP Classroom.

Week Three
Monday, March 30
Objective: Students will review the three types of essays that could appear on the AP Lit Exam.
Assignment: Join me LIVE for a Zoom discussion of the newly modified AP Lit Exam. I will host two sessions: 10:00am OR 2:00pm. If you cannot join live, I will post a recording for you to watch when convenient.
Assessment: Students will practice each of the three essay types over the next few days: poetry analysis, prose analysis, and literary argument.

Objective: Students will review Q1 - the poetry analysis essay.
Assignment: Visit Google Classroom for a step-by-step review of Q1 - the poetry analysis essay.
Assessment: Students will submit a short response related to a Q1 prompt.

Objective: Students will review Q2 - the prose analysis essay.
Assignment: Visit Google Classroom for a step-by-step review of Q2 - the prose analysis essay.
Assessment: Students will submit a short response related to a Q2 prompt.

Assessment: Students will complete short written assessment at the end of the play (after Scene 11).
 
Tuesday, March 24
Objective: Students will continue to demonstrate their prowess in prose analysis.
Assignment: Visit Google Classroom and read the summary slides for A Streetcar Named Desire. Use the summary slides to begin formulating your final thoughts about the play.
Assessment: Students will complete a short written assessment (two questions) on Wednesday, March 25.

Objective: Students will continue to demonstrate their prowess in prose analysis.
Assignment: Visit Google Classroom in order to take the "test" over A Streetcar Named Desire. Please note that your responses will be automatically submitted to Google's authenticity check.
Assessment: Students will complete a short written assessment (two questions) on Wednesday, March 25.
 
Thursday, March 26
Objective: Students will engage in self-reflection.
Assignment: Visit Google Classroom to see the details of the assignment. You will open the Google Slides and add images and words (in the form of a haiku) to chronicle your experiences while social distancing.
Assessment: This assignment will count for a 5-point assessment grade.
