Rising 9th Grade Parent/Student Meeting
Rising 9th Grade Parents & Students are invited to attend an informational meeting on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 6:00pm at the Buford High School Performing Arts Center. General high school information will be presented, along with information for selecting 9th grade courses. Information presented at the meeting will be sent out the following day and posted to the BHS website. The Clear Bag Policy will be enforced at this meeting.
Rising 9th Grade Registration
Rising 9th grade registration will take place February 6 - 23 through the PowerSchool Portal. All needed information will be provided at the meeting on February 5, and the meeting presentation will be sent out the following day as well as posted to the high school website. The 8th grade counselor has been visiting classes at BMS to discuss registration with students. Additional information helpful for the registration process and course selection is posted on the Buford High School website under Academics → Course Registration. Students will have additional time to change 2024-2025 Course Requests during Drop/Add, which is March 15-22, 2024.
Summer School Health & PE:
- Location: All work is completed online. Due dates are strictly adhered to - late work is NOT accepted. Students must provide their own device.
- Dates of classes: May 29 - June 20, 2024
- Cost: $250 total (Health & PE)
- Registration: An online registration form will be located on the BHS website on April 8 at 8:00 am. Spaces are limited to 250 students and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Payment must be made on GoFan.
- A GoFan confirmation number is required in order to complete the registration form.
- You must also know your student’s school email address to complete the registration form. (first initial last name lunch number @bufordcityschools.org ex: jdoe12345@bufordcityschools.
- Summer School Health & PE is not recommended for every student. Most students will have plenty of time to take Health & PE during their 7 period day in the normal school year.
