Canvas Parent

Canvas Parent enhances the potential for parents to engage in their children's education. Parents can review upcoming or past assignments, and receive alerts for student activity. Each teacher can limit the features that students and parents see. Grades may be visible in Canvas, but students' official grades are in PowerSchool.
You can also access Canvas as a parent through the website
 
Notifications
To adjust your notifications, go to bufordcityschools.instructure.com and login with your Canvas parent credentials. Click on Account and then Notifications. Parents can choose how and how often they receive notifications. 
 
Add a Student
To add a student in the parent app, you will need a pairing code from that student (see above image).
From the dashboard, click the small down arrow next to the current students name. Choose Add Student, then enter the new student's pairing code. 
Alternatively, you can go the the User Menu (3 lines in the top left corner), choose Manage Students, then click +. Enter the new student's pairing code.
 
To add a student via the website, first login to your parent account. Go to Account, then Observing, then enter the student's pairing code.
