Past Assignments
Due:
Many of you have been asking if we are going to replace a grade. I am happy to inform you that we are. This grade will replace your most damaging grade. You have until Friday at 3:00 pm to submit the form. NO LATE GRADES WILL BE ACCEPTED!
Due:
For the second assignment, You will need to go to StatTrek.com and take the practice test. You want to take the multiple choice portion only. Do your best, this is to give you an idea of what topics you need help on. Think of it as your own personal study guide. The answers are available on every question, but refrain from looking. The actual score on the MC questions doesn't count for a grade. Just the review guide you create. Once you are done. You will need to take a screen shot of the questions you missed and then fill out the google sheet attached. You will list each question that you got wrong and then correct all the incorrect responses. (see google sheet). This will be a good starting point to determine the topics you are weak in and on what you need to focus.
For each question you missed you need to complete a correction. Be sure to complete each section on the google sheet.
Email me with questions.
Tips: don't tell me that you chose the wrong answer on accident. Remember this is to improve your ability as a Statistics student. You need to put some thought into the correction. I will not accept answers that say I read the question wrong. Explain how to get the correct answer even if you new that from the beginning. Take the approach that you are trying to explain this to someone else. If you aren't sure, ask me. I'll be available every day.

Due:
Choose one of the following FRQs and Create a video lesson. I have attached several YouTube videos to help if you aren't sure how to film a lesson. I have an iPhone so that is what I know. If you have a different phone that you will be using to record video and want some help, just email me and we will work out the details. I am ready to assist you on all the details if you aren't comfortable setting up and recording a video tutorial. Remember to try the FRQ on your own and then search, "AP Stat FRQ YEAR," obviously put in the actual year from the problem you choose and the Scoring Guidelines will be one of the first few links.
Tips: You can record the video with your phone, laptop, screen record using a mobile device/laptop etc. You can use a whiteboard app, actual whiteboard, paper, to write on or just type up the doc and use the digital file. If you are unsure let me help you. You might need to know how to do this for college or for your future job...you never know.
The Video Lesson Google Form is the official form to turn in your Lesson. There are several question that you will also need to fill out:
1. What is the topic of your lesson?
2. How did you prepare for the lesson?
3. What materials were needed?
4. Reflection- What do you feel went right with your lesson? What do you feel you could have done better with your lesson? What did you learn from doing this type of assignment?
Things I'm looking for:
1. In the video presentation, did the teacher explain to the "student" what they were teaching them to do?
2. In the video presentation, did the teacher show an example to the "student"? (this is a bit obvious because this is a tutorial video)
3. Was the video presentation between 5-10 minutes long?
4. Did the teacher convey the solution in a manner that was easily understandable?
Let me know if I can help. I'll have a chat session later today (10am and 1pm) for discussion. Please join. Even just to say hi, I haven't seen some of you in a month.
