About Coach Laws

Introduction:Thank you for visiting my site.  My name is Mr. Casey Laws.  I am a math/construction teacher here at Buford High School.  Aside from teaching, I also coach softball in the Fall and baseball in the Spring.  For the past 5 years I have also been the Head Bass Fishing Coach.  I have been teaching at Buford for 14 years now and I am currently in my 17th year overall.

Just a bit about myself:   I attended Central Gwinnett High School and graduated in 1996 where I earned an athletic scholarship to play baseball for the now Georgia Perimeter (formerly Dekalb College).  After junior college I transferred to the university of Georgia and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics Education.  My first teaching job was back at my alma mater for three years, where I coached baseball and football for 3 years while working on my Master's of Education in Integrating Technology.  I was then offered a position at Buford High in 2006, and still enjoying every minute of teaching and coaching!

Me and My Family: My wife Laura and I have been married for 19 years.  We actually met in high school and have been together for 26 years.  We have two wonderful children.  James is 16 and in the 11th grade and Caroline is 13 and now in 8th grade.  My wife also teaches at Buford Senior Academy and both of my children attend Buford City Schools.  What a great place to be!
